Time when somebody is young: the period of human life between childhood and maturity.
Engagement - Definition
Active or operational state: an act or condition of being activated or becoming operational.
Advocacy - Definition
Giving aid to cause: active verbal support for a cause or position.
Mentorship - Definition
Experienced advisor and supporter: somebody, usually older and more experienced, who advises and guides a younger, less experienced person.
I have been an active youth mentor for six years and counting. In 2001, I served a two-year term as Youth Council Chief and have provided mentorship, support and guidance to three youth councils thereafter in the community of Moricetown.
